LIFE IS A JOURNEY
GROWTH IS A CHOICE
Life Enriching Communication (LEC) fosters stronger, more connected relationships through a needs-based, nonviolent communication approach. We equip participants with practical tools to improve interactions, reduce conflict, and engage more compassionately with others.
We offer a variety of programs, including online and in-person workshops, ongoing practice groups, and court-mandated programs for parents and justice-involved individuals. Programs are accessible, offered in English and Spanish, and include sliding-scale options to ensure participation for those with financial need.
LEC seeks partners and supporters to expand the reach and sustainability of these transformative programs, including offering direct subsidies to participants with financial need.
LEC Helps Build Compassionate Communities
Nonviolent Communication
The basis of our practice is Nonviolent Communication (NVC). It is a communication methodology that emphasizes empathy and understanding between individuals. It encourages the expression of feelings and needs without blame or judgment, fostering more compassionate and constructive interactions. NVC is designed to transform conflicts into opportunities for mutual understanding and cooperation by focusing on the shared humanity of all parties involved.

Volunteer & Help Enrich Lives
LEC is a small but mighty nonprofit with a big heart and a strong foundation, dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities understand that the root of healthy relationships lies in nonviolent communication.
With the support of volunteers, we continue to expand our offerings. Our goal is to ensure that anyone in need of workshops and nonviolent communication resources and services can access them, regardless of their ability to pay.
We welcome you to bring your unique talents and gifts to LEC and become a member of our team. Photographers, graphic designers, grant writers, social media assistants and administrative help is needed, both in person and remotely.
“I will continue to practice nonviolence in my relationships by keeping to what I’ve learned and started putting into practice. Now that my eyes are open, I see that I can’t go back to old patterns. I am committed to continuing to apply these lessons every day.”
