Empowered Parenting

This interactive, activity-based parenting online class focuses on identifying and understanding the dynamics of family violence and how it impacts parenting and the child. (Fulfills court mandated child abuse prevention classes)

  • Understand the constructs of violence that go beyond physical hitting

  • Learn “power with” vs. "power over” strategies

  • Identify areas of control and abuse

  • Build new skills such as Nonviolent Communication to help with relationships and parenting


Two sessions of online weekly classes are available: 

Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm 
Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm

Nonviolent Communication Practice Group

​Practice group open to all

This group meets at online on Zoom the fourth Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to join this practice group that supports the practice of offering empathy to yourself and others and incorporating nonviolent communication into your daily life.

Intro to Compassionate Communication

Find the key to empathizing with yourself and others. Learn the four components of Nonviolent Communication. Focus of this class will be: Recognizing observations vs. judgments. This is a great class for those new to Compassionate Communication (aka Nonviolent Communication) or those seeking to learn more.

Compassionate Pathways - A Batterers' Intervention Program (BIP)

A 12 to 52 week Batterer’s Intervention/Anger Management Program​

You matter and you deserve to be treated with respect and care. We offer weekly classes and have a sliding payment scale.

Our intake fee is $35.00. Our batterer intervention and our child abuse treatment programs are offered online on Zoom and meet the court mandated requirements. We have a men's batterer intervention program and a women's batterer intervention program. 

We offer services in English and Spanish. 

Many of our clients have said that this program has changed their life. We even have some come back and volunteer because they really believe in the program. Our non-judgmental approach and needs-centered focus mean that we consider your needs and growth as you progress through the program. 

Men: Fridays from 5-7pm 
Thursdays 6-8pm (En español)
Women: Saturdays 11am-1pm

Parenting From the Heart

This day-long workshop leads parents through a series of activities that can help them get connected to their values and needs in any particular situation and help them communicate these values and needs to their children. It can help parents connect with what their children’s needs are as well. There will be time for parents to share their struggles and to get practical suggestions (and practice) on how to navigate through hardships.
