About LEC
We train and empower families, groups and individuals to live in compassion and to create communities where connection and collaboration flourish through providing nonviolent communication programs, training, coaching and counseling.
Life Enriching Communication (LEC) is based upon the principles of nonviolent communication (NVC).
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a communication methodology that emphasizes empathy, understanding, and connection between individuals. It encourages the expression of feelings and needs without blame or judgment, fostering more compassionate and constructive interactions. NVC is designed to transform conflicts into opportunities for mutual understanding and cooperation by focusing on the shared humanity of all parties involved.
Life Enriching Communication (LEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and communities through compassionate communication training.
At the heart of LEC’s work is Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a practical approach that helps people speak and listen with empathy, clarity, and connection. Through workshops, classes, and practice groups offered both online and in person, LEC supports personal growth, healthier relationships, and community understanding. Participants learn tools to communicate needs respectfully, resolve conflicts, and foster mutual care in everyday life. LEC is committed to expanding access to these life-enriching skills so that more people can live with greater compassion, clarity, and connection with others.
We are proud of the work we did for The HEART TO HEART PROJECT funded by the CARES Foundation. The CARES Foundation generously award us a grant to teach and support more El Dorado County teens and their families on healthy relationships, HIV prevention, and nonviolent communication skills.
